Join us for a slide show presentation “A Virtual Walk with Harriet Tubman” on Sunday February 27, at 2:00 pm at the Arts Center in Orange, sponsored by the Women’s Diversity Forum. Presenters will be Orange County residents Ellen and Rob Pitera, along with their sons Doug and Charlie.

Ellen Wessel, and fellow member Dani Rivera, participated in a week long walk tracing Harriet Tubman’s first escape route from enslavement in Cambridge, Maryland to freedom in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  Ellen and Rob will show how they turned this adventure into a virtual field trip to teach their students and others about this 19th century heroine.
