Art History and Exploration for Elementary Homeschoolers with Karen Primeau

Join us on our journey to explore human expression with art through time.  This will be an ongoing series presented through the lens of the history and culture of each artistic period.  Students will hear an overview and utilize multiple mediums for hands-on experiences that highlight each era.  The class is led by a professional Montessori educator of two decades and is designed to serve as supplemental support for homeschooling families.  The first class will begin in the Paleolithic Age and progress over six weeks to the Medieval Age.  The two subsequent class sessions (6 weeks each) will progress through the art eras to culminate in the Modern/Post-Modern Age. You are welcome to participate in one or all sessions.  Come and be a part of this amazing class experience!

About the instructor: Karen Primeau is a Montessori educator of twenty years and has joyously explored art movements and mediums with many students during that time.  As an educator, she believes that art can be incorporated in all disciplines and is essential for student knowledge, expression and wellbeing.  Karen also appreciates being able to share the history of art with students to create a background of knowledge for their future art explorations.

Dates: October 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15, 22

Class Fee:  $120 for 6-week session

Materials Fee:  $30
